Taxi!
Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive in Panama City. Transfers between Tocumen International Airport and Panama City, a distance of 16 miles, run about $25 for up to two passengers. Fares within the capital city's financial district and hotel area are usually not more than $2. However, since taxis are not metered, visitors should get cabs at hotels and negotiate the price in advance. If attending a series of meetings, it might be more efficient to hire a taxi for the entire day. The going rate is about $10 an hour.
